Frequently asked questions
Answers before you paste a link.
Which links work?
Public Reels, feed videos, every video in a carousel, older video-post links, and individual active public Stories. Direct links and Instagram Share links are accepted. Public video posts, including Duets, Stitches and longer videos. Direct links and short Share links from vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com and tiktok.com/t are accepted.
Can I download Instagram Stories?
Yes. Copy the link to a specific public Story while it is still active, then paste it here. Video Stories save as MP4 and photo Stories as images. Private, expired and archived Stories cannot be downloaded.
Can I download every video in an Instagram carousel?
Yes. Paste the post link once, then choose each video separately. Videos stay in their original post order; photo items are skipped. Each selected file follows the usual ad and download process. If a clip cannot be prepared, we show a notice.
Why can't every link be downloaded?
Having a link does not guarantee public access to its media file. Account-only, private, removed, expired or restricted content may be inaccessible. Active livestreams do not provide a completed file. Instagram Highlights and TikTok Stories are not currently supported; use a supported public video or individual Instagram Story link. Photo slideshows are not converted into MP4 videos.
Will the TikTok file have a watermark?
SnapTavo selects a watermark-free TikTok rendition when available. If the source cannot provide one, we show an error instead of labeling a watermarked file as clean.
Is the download always HD?
We choose the best available rendition, but resolution depends on the original post and the file the platform provides. We cannot create missing detail or remove logos baked into a video.
Why do I have to watch a short video?
The current download flow includes a short promotional message before the file starts. A paid rewarded ad may replace it when one is configured.
Why does a link sometimes fail?
The post may be private, removed or unavailable, or the platform may not expose a usable file. Try a direct link to another public video.
Can I use SnapTavo on my phone?
Yes. Copy a public video link in the TikTok or Instagram app, open SnapTavo in your mobile browser, and paste it. Your browser handles the final MP4 download.
